    Cookie Policy

    What this page covers

Cookies are small pieces of data a site stores in your browser. Geovo also uses your browser's local storage the same way — to remember something between visits without sending it to a server. This page explains what geovo.io actually stores today, organized by the same categories used in the cookie preferences panel.

    Strictly necessary

These keep the site itself working and can't be turned off. Right now, that's:

    • Your cookie preference — the choice you make in Cookie Settings (Accept All, Reject Optional, or a custom selection) is saved in your browser so we don't ask again every visit.
    • In-progress certification request drafts — if you start a certification request and navigate away, your answers are saved locally so you don't lose your place. Nothing is sent to us until you submit the form.
    • Cloudflare security — geovo.io uses Cloudflare for DNS and network security. Where Cloudflare's network is actively protecting this site, it may set a small number of cookies to tell real visitors apart from bots or mitigate abuse. These exist for security, not tracking, and aren't something we can turn off here.

    Functionality

The Google Maps JavaScript API powers address and place autocomplete on our forms (Request Certification, Nominate, and similar). It loads automatically on every page, because autocomplete is core to how those forms work, and Google may set its own cookies under Google's control — see Google's privacy policy for how Google handles that. There's no separate toggle for this category today: turning it off would break autocomplete on the forms that need it.

    Analytics

Geovo does not currently run any analytics scripts on this site — no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar. If we add one, it will be configured through Cloudflare Zaraz, the consent layer behind Cookie Settings: it won't run until you opt in to Analytics, and this section will be updated to name the tool and what it measures.

    Marketing

Geovo does not currently run any marketing, advertising, or retargeting cookies — no Meta Pixel or similar. If that changes, the same rule applies: it's configured through Cloudflare Zaraz and won't run until you opt in to Marketing here.

    How your choice is enforced

Your decision is saved in your browser. On this site, it's also enforced through Cloudflare Zaraz — Cloudflare's consent-management layer — which stops an Analytics or Marketing tool from running until its category has been granted. If Zaraz can't be reached for any reason, the choice saved in your browser is still what's honored; nothing optional runs by default either way.

    Changing your choice

You can review or change your preferences at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the site footer. Updating a category takes effect immediately — no need to clear your browser or wait.

    Changes to this policy

If the technologies described here change materially, we'll update this page and the date below, and — where the change affects an optional category — ask you to confirm your preferences again.

Manage which optional cookies Geovo can use.
